Photographer. World Traveler. Environmental Activist. National Park Enthusiast. Kindness.
Photographer. Growing up as a child, I was always around a camera. My mother was extremely passionate about photography. She taught me how to take pictures of my own. As I grew older, I followed in her footsteps and pursued photography myself. I have been involved with photography my entire life and am lucky enough to have my own equipment to excel in this realm now. Without my mother’s passion for this art, I would have never found this passion of mine.
World Traveler. I have been fortunate enough to travel to fourteen different countries, most of which I visited when I sailed on Semester at Sea during the Fall of 2017. I circumnavigated the globe in 108 days and was able to immerse myself in a wide variety of different cultures across Europe, Africa, and Asia. I absolutely love to travel and explore our natural world. Being able to capture special moments around the world has truly been a blessing and I have been extremely grateful for every moment abroad. I hope to visit more countries and cultures so I can have a better global understanding of our beautiful world.
Environmental Activist. I am a Colorado State University graduate with a B.S. in Natural Resource Tourism with minors in Global Environmental Sustainability and Business Administration. I found a passion for the conservation of natural lands and biodiversity and aim to pursue a career protecting and expanding them. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I researched topics relating to using tourism as a tool for conservation, implementing sustainable cultures into communities, and climate change mitigation. I am an activist for the environment and believe we need to strive for more policies to help protect our natural world. Knowing what this administration has done to our environment is painful to watch. It is my hope that through my photography and research, I can help protect and conserve our world and help combat these pressing issues.
National Park Enthusiast. It is my goal to visit every single national park in the United States. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to 11 so far. Nothing beats early morning sunrises across Canyonlands National Park, or hiking in between the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park, or feeling on top of the world on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. Our public lands in this country are astounding and I want to be lucky enough to see them all.
Kindness. Above all else, I always choose kindness. Our country has seen some of its darkest days this year. I think it is important to shine a light on kindness because we are all humans striving to cohesively live on this earth together. We cannot succeed if we are divided and opposing one another for certain viewpoints. Kindness conquers all and that is a message I strive to uphold and share with anyone I meet.
